On April 25th, 2025, the Passage to ASEAN (P2A) officially hosted The Orientation of P2A Green Entrepreneurship Hackathon 2025, proudly launching a new chapter under the theme:
“Connecting Minds, Methods, and Machines to Co-Create Innovations for Global Challenges.”

This orientation marked the first major milestone of the Hackathon journey, bringing together hundreds of aspiring innovators, students, educators, and institutional partners across the ASEAN region and beyond.
The session provided participants with a comprehensive introduction to the competition's structure, stages, and evaluation criteria, ensuring that everyone had a clear understanding of what lies ahead. Key highlights included an overview of the competition timeline, submission requirements, judging panels, mentorship opportunities, and the grand finale event. It set the tone for an exciting, challenging, and highly rewarding journey aimed at fostering green entrepreneurship and sustainable innovation.

To deepen the inspiration, the orientation featured a keynote speech by Dr. Visal Sharma from Queen’s University Belfast. Dr. Sharma emphasized the critical need for youth-driven innovation in solving urgent environmental and societal issues. He spoke passionately about the power of interdisciplinary collaboration, technology-driven solutions, and the importance of an entrepreneurial mindset in today's fast-changing world. His words ignited enthusiasm, pushing participants to think beyond traditional boundaries.

Adding to the momentum, the Champion Team of 2024 — FLEXILEG — shared their incredible journey from ideation to victory. Their story, full of perseverance, teamwork, and creative problem-solving, offered practical tips for success and served as a beacon of motivation for the 2025 participants. FLEXILEG’s experience illustrated that with resilience and innovation, extraordinary ideas can be turned into real-world impacts

Looking ahead, the P2A Green Entrepreneurship Hackathon 2025 is poised to be bigger, greener, and more transformative than ever before. With an expanded network of mentors, increased institutional partnerships, and enhanced opportunities for international collaboration, this year’s competition aims to empower participants to create sustainable solutions that address pressing global challenges such as climate change, clean energy, responsible consumption, and community resilience.
