Policymaking Facilitation

P2A- A bridge between policymakers and academic leaders
Passage to ASEAN (P2A) facilitates regional policymaking by actively connecting university leaders, government officials, and industry experts to co-create frameworks that align higher education with ASEAN’s strategic development. This engagement is operationalized through specialized initiatives such as the ASEAN AI Council and the ASEAN-Korea Roundtable in Tourism. The ASEAN AI Council functions as a governing body-facilitated by the P2A Secretariat-that directs the ethical integration of artificial intelligence and digital transformation across member institutions. In parallel, the ASEAN-Korea Roundtable in Tourism serves as a high-level policy forum where tourism ministries and academic leaders collaborate to formulate actionable policy recommendations, specifically aiming to enhance economic cooperation and sustainable tourism exchange under the ASEAN-Korea Free Trade Agreement.
ASEAN - Korea Roundtable in Tourism
Attended by high-ranking officials, distinguished delegates from ASEAN and South Korea, as well as many experts and policymakers in the tourism sector, delegates from ASEAN and South Korea, and tourism experts, , the ASEAN-Korea Roundtable in Tourism (AK-RT) fostered cooperation, promoted sustainable tourism, and explored post-pandemic recovery solutions. The 2025 AKRT was successfully hosted by Duy Tan University (Da Nang, Vietnam) and Passage to ASEAN, and supported by the ASEAN-Korea FTA Funds and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea.
